Our
Mission...The Election Department handles all voter
registration, preparation and implementation of elections,
filing of candidates, auditing campaign reporting, recruitment
and training of elections day precinct workers, prepares maps,
implement new laws as passed, provides citizens of Stanly County
with the opportunity to exercise their right to vote in the
appropriate jurisdiction by establishing convenient and
effective voter registration, voting sites, and services; by
operating the elections process in an open, fair, cost-effective
and efficient manner as set forth in the Constitution and
General Statutes of NC and the United States of America.
Board
meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each
month at 9:00 A.M. at the Stanly County Board of
Elections office located at 1000 N First St, Suite
16, Albemarle, NC 28001. The board may also call
other meetings during the year, which will also be
listed here and posted at the Board of Elections
office. All meetings are open to the public.
Minutes of the meetings are maintained at the Board
of Elections office and are opened for public
inspection during normal business hours.
