CIVILIAN ABSENTEE BY MAIL
*Requesting the Ballot:
Absentee by Mail available to Civilian voters, upon request
September 5, 2014 to October 28, 2014
After October 29, 2014 requests are only accepted in person for voters sick or disabled until November 3, 2014
Requests may be made by the voter, voters near relative (spouse, brother, sister, parent, grandparent, child, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, stepparent, stepchild), or a verifiable legal guardian.  Power of Attorney does NOT have this authority.

Requests must be made on the NEW Absentee Request Form and submitted via one of the following methods:

*Voting the Ballot:
  • Remember to use a black ball point pen
  • Complete the application on the back of the envelope
  • Make sure you sign your application along with two witnesses or a notary. Don't forget to have the witness include his/her address. Your ballot CANNOT be counted if you do not complete this step.
*Returning the Ballot:
Civilian ballots must be returned to the Board of Elections by 5:00 PM on the day of the Election OR be postmarked by Election Day and received no later than three days after the Election.

Ballot may be returned via one of the following methods:

By:  Voter or Voter's near relative, no later than 5:00 pm November 4, 2014.
Postal Mail

By: Postal Mail, must be postmarked by November 4, 2014
and received no later than November 7, 2014.

September 5, 2014 through 5:00 p.m. on November 3, 2014
4 Use a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to register to vote and request an absentee ballot.
4 Use a Federal Write-In Absentee Ballot (FWAB) to register to vote and vote in all federal, state, and local elections for which the voter is eligible. This serves as the voter's official ballot.

Your ballot must be transmitted by 12:01 am on the day of the election (voter time) and must be received by the county no later then 5 pm on the 6th day after Election Day. November 10, 2014
